Ever wondered why many cafes in Delhi offer an all-day breakfast apart from their regular menu? It is because our mind and body can crave for that hearty meal any time of the day. It is hard to resist the goodness of eggs, the crunch of bacon, the smell of sausages and the divine taste of waffles and pancakes.

Isn’t this all that it takes to constitute a great meal be it any time of the day? For late risers like me, esp.at weekends when I can actually afford to spend a large chunk of the morning in bed, these all day breakfast or brunch places are a boom.

The best part about this newest brunch place in Connaught Place is that its entire menu is dedicated to the stuff that good branches are made of. They do have a fair share of European Entrees and Mains too, which we were happy not paying attention to in this visit.

We went to try their fixed menu but ended up ordering a few dishes from their a-la-carte menu as well, as they seemed too hard to resist. Our first dish, the Florence Benedict ticked all the right boxes as the perfectly poached egg rested beautifully on top of a toast with the fair amount of spinach and bacon, all topped with creamy hollandaise sauce. The perfectly runny yolk confirmed that the chef knows what he is doing. The first batch of eggs was perfect but the later batches that my fellow bloggers tried were unfortunately not hot enough.

The taste was nice though. Club omelet filled with Mushroom Ragu, with spinach, roasted veggies and toast served on the side was another delight. Sicilian Chicken served on the skewer was surprisingly spicy and really juicy. Roasted Beetroot Salad was nice but Burrata Salad was a bit of a let down as the Burrata cheese was not as soft and creamy as a fresh Burrata should be. It was more of a cross between cold mozzarella and cottage cheese. In plates of pasta, we tried Linguine with Red Sauce which was alright but the Penne in White Sauce was really good probably because it had bits of bacon.

Pancakes and Waffles were both top notch and we preferred the unhealthy Nutella version over the fresh fruits one. Maple syrup was definitely a great add-on. Although they have a liquor license I would still recommend their fresh cold press juices as according to me, they go best with a brunch. Moreover, alcohol makes you lazy. We tried orange and watermelon juices, and both were refreshing. The decor is vibrant and seating is comfy. The pricing for the fixed menu brunch is reasonable while even the a-la-carte menu is not heavy on the pocket. This definitely is a brunch that ain’t gonna give you a cash crunch!
