Time and again, you visit places that give you uncountable memories to rely on, for years to come. Rick’s at Taj would top my list for the experience that they curate for their guests. With a phenomenal tinge of taste, comes exceptional courtesy that’s displayed not just on the bar, but beyond it.
Each cocktail at this bar has a story to it, either behind the scene or while it’s being made. From the 90’s aperitif- Negroni to today’s cucumber Margherita, every tail’s an experience in itself. Not just the flavor, but the alcohol that touches every bit of your alimentary canal as it passes through, beginning right at your tongue, is breathtaking in its true sense. If you’re dying to meet a mixologist who can give you a mesmerizing experience of taste+the right amount of intoxication, you know where to head to.
And if you’re heading there, you’re bound to enjoy their own creation, Guava Berry Creation, a strong concoction of Ketel one, creme de mure, guava + cranberry and a smooth touch of orange flower water garnished with the flower of the day [which did happen to be the flower of my life when I visited the phenomenal bar- an orchid]. It’s the perfect summer cocktail that you can sip with your friend, spouse, colleague or an acquaintance you bumped into, at the bar. It’s refreshing, and it’s strong. A combination that surprises you whenever it’s presented to you.
Along with the lovely cocktails, you are also entitled to good appetizers, and that comes naturally to this place. Moreso, if you’re a vegetarian. Mozzarella and tomato grilled sandwiches have existed since time immemorial, but if you really enjoy that little twist in your food, and are as excited as cheese about me, you wouldn’t think once before diving into the tomato cheese bruschetta platter.
For rest, you need to head to the Taj Mahal Hotel to experience modesty in leisure yourself.
