Every time I think of a quick break from our hectic schedule, I realize that I have no time to plan. Most of the time we do not have the luxury of a long vacation and to give ourselves time and be away from the hustle-bustle, we typically have weekends at hand. This leads us to look within our city and yet new places to explore
We have been following this routine and it has become very convenient to be able to take a moment out and get pampered. We take a break from our busy schedule, check- in into hotels that are in the city or nearby.
This time we decided to stay at The Leela Convention Hotel as we have always loved the food and dining experience. Chef Ashwini Kumar is exceptionally good when it comes to Indian cuisine. We had the luxury to enjoy Mahmudabad food festival that was running in their restaurant.
I have frequented this place couple of times and hence most of the facilities and restaurants always make me feel at home.
Dilli 32 is simply outstanding. To me, it’s the best Indian restaurant serving Awadhi cuisine in Delhi. Like most of the people, I have been a big fan of Indian food and this is “THE” place where I prefer going, whenever I crave for Awadhi food.
My wife was on Ekadashi fast and since the festival was on for dinner, the team prepared the entire feast again for her, the next day for lunch. It was truly very touching and it shows the way they care for their loyal patronage. Chef Ashwini ensured that everything was set on the table to perfection and he himself came to explain the concept as well as the delicacies that were being served.
It is very heart-warming when people extend their kindness when you are not a thing or expecting and it lands up giving a greater experience!
They recently re-launched their spa Shanaya and you can read our spa experience here.
Café Nosh is their all-day dining where we had our breakfast and lunch. I always love the food and their service has been consistent and faultless.
I would suggest you take a break from the stress, detox yourself from the hustle bustle and a hectic weekday schedule and you can follow this simple way and explore the way I do. Check-in into a hotel, indulge yourself, eat, drink and repeat and on Monday you will feel rejuvenated and energized – that’s my ideal way of spending a relaxing weekend at times!
