#TajWithIndia We all love history, especially when it is about India’s freedom struggle. This year we are celebrating 70th year of independence and to mark the occasion, Taj Palace hotel New Delhi is celebrating it in style. The three-course menu which was served to Lord Mountbatten on 1947 at The Taj Hotel Mumbai, is being recreated to serve the guests at Hotel.  Since there weren’t any vegetarian dishes in the original menu, Chefs at Taj have added some vegetarian options too.

You will see a lot of French names and sauces in the dishes which at that point in time, were part of the menu. The entire menu is an interpretation of the era, adds Chef Abhijit.

Consommé a l’indienne  – cardamom infused spring chicken consommé was light and flavourful. Followed by Delicacies al-Hindustan or paneer tikka which was tamarind flavored.
