Well, when it comes to Thai food, I personally feel that Thai Pavilion is the finest in Delhi/NCR and each time I visit the place, my belief gets stronger. Not only have they been, able to manage the quality but they have also been able to maintain consistency in their approach.

He has recently joined Vivanta by Taj as F&B Manager.  Anuj and Ananya (she has been with Taj for a while) welcomed us, last week, for a preview of their “Street Food Festival”. Master Chef Prajuab Shoosridam who is with Thai Pavilion is always very interested in exploring his own country and each time after his return from Thailand, he offers something new to his patrons.

Siam Jan Deaw: A Thai Street Affair – Thai Pavilion is hosting this festival where you will get to taste food from streets of Thailand (especially from village area). These dishes are served with a meal in a bowl, which is a complete meal in itself.

Chef Prajuab Shoosridam shared that these dishes are based on the recipes back home, and he also sourced his ingredients from that place. He also shared that he enjoys and prefers to cook the way it is originally meant to be. This also inspires him to make his pastes and sauces. These dishes are usually hot and if you do not prefer it that way; please ask them to prepare according to your readiness for the spice level.

I never ate a dish cooked with nuts – primarily cashew nuts and peanuts. Sam grob boran thod, cooked with lemongrass and kafir lime, a dish which was new for me but had a distinct flavor.

All the main courses are served with rice and you have the option to choose from jasmine rice, brown rice, and spicy jasmine fried rice.

Thai food is incomplete without dessert and Tub tim Grob( water chestnut with coconut milk) was the perfect way to finish the scrumptious affair.
