Connaught Place is to Delhi what Times Square is to New York, Piccadilly Circus is to London and Siam Square is to Bangkok. It is the most important business and shopping district of the capital.

When it got a little left behind in the party scene as compared to a few places in South Delhi and Gurgaon, it took no time to remodel itself and reclaim the top spot of being the most happening party destination. Unmatched is the aura and the charm of CP which shall always remain unmoved, unthreatened by the mushroom growth of bars across Delhi and NCR.

Recent makeover of CP has not only added some ultra cool watering holes but also some exceptional party places. The only thing that was missing was a brewery. Recently opened Ministry of Beer has filled that void by bringing freshly brewed beer to the access of people who want to party in this part of the city.

The brewery is not functional yet but I will surely visit again once they get the license. The interiors are funky and it seems like they have taken the interiors of any microbrewery of Gurgaon and kicked them up a notch. Live music adds to the vibe which means that a fabulous evening is guaranteed.

maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer,, Ministry of Beer, CP It does not stop here. The food served here esp. the Asian fare is really good. The dim sums were almost transparent and inside was juicy and extremely flavourful. Both veg and non-veg options were great. I couldn’t find any fault in their Sushi as well, though I was disappointed that they didn’t serve Wasabi paste with it. Only Indian snack I tried was the Tandoori chicken, which was a bit hard and chewy. The main course esp. Dal Makhani, Veg Biryani, and Mutton Rogan Josh were brilliant. Their cream filled carrot cake was a pure delight.

Oh and I forgot to mention that Ministry Of Beer is holding a Sushi festival all through the month of June where they would be serving 3 pints of beer along with unlimited Sushi and Dimsums at an unbelievable price of 1099++.
