Food tastes good when you eat with friends. After a long time, I had an excellent afternoon filled with food, discussion, and knowledge sharing at Kofuku. It is a 4 month old Japanese and a bit of oriental cuisine restaurant at Ansal Plaza. I do not frequent Ansal Plaza and have my reservations; however, that doesn’t take away the good time i had yesterday afternoon.
Sushi was good though it requires rice to be less warm for it to stick together. Edamame was excellent and so was the grilled sea bass and lamb chops. Miso ramen could have been better if the consistency of broth was thicker. Mochi ice cream was fabulous. If they work in some of the minute details, it’s going to a fabulous place for sure.
