India Design ID 2017 | India’s Definitive Design Week was Back With a Bang

India design ID 2017 is celebrating 5th years of their existence and this was my first ever visit to the exhibition. This exhibition is presented by Asian paints and have been divided majorly in three verticals and each vertical brings the design community on single platform.

India Design ID is an excellent platform for high end or even new entrants to showcase their concept and product in home décor. There were some very interesting stalls which we visited.

There were stalls outside the pavilion area like world bazar that provides complete solution to your living life.

ID Symposium – this area was designated primarily for networking and speakers from different walks of life were sharing their experiences.

ID Satellite  – it was an interesting one where the focus was on areas like Lado Sarai, Meharchand Market, Shahpur Jat, Defence Colony, and MG Road which is now considered as a design district and week-long festivities were conducted.

Commenting on the initiative, Gaurav Mashruwala, CEO, Ogaan Media Pvt. Ltd.  says, “This year we celebrate 5 years of India Design ID and over this time period, it has not only become the country’s premier design celebration but has very effectively changed the definition of good design & architecture in India.”

There were stalls with refreshments too. The Park No Mad Cafe at India Design 2017 was the coolest pop – up in town. Very quirky and contemporary design , street food from across globe , no plastic , even the serving plates , spoons and sippers were made of bamboo. Have heard that Park is planning to launch it at zone by park (shhhhhh). Chicken satay , mezze platter and Lebanese kebabs were absolutely bang on. The banta with mint was super refreshing.

The Design ID 2017 was sponsored by Asian Paints.
