I have been great fan of Geoffrey’s, since it opened the first restaurant in Delhi at Ansal Plaza. I have had many lunches and lovely dating moments with my girlfriend (who is now my wife). I used to love it so much that when they shut down the outlet and opened in Noida, I visited there too. With wooden interior, rare and handpicked curios from Europe, fantastic world cuisine, well stocked bar and classy entertainment are always the highlights of Geoffrey’s. This was the time when there weren’t many happening stand-alones and this place had been an instant hit (hip & happening).

But then the wave of restro-bars came and it got lost somehow. I don’t remember when I last visited Geoffrey’s.  You will be surprised to know that I had my first Thai curry in this place.maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in,

Last month I was in Faridabad for a function and we decided to stay at Park Plaza, since it was close to Sector 21 C. We had to attend an event. After the checking formalities I checked into the room – clean and linens properly placed – nice and well presented. While I was talking to their F&B Manager, I came to know that their new executive chef had joined recently and has worked extensively in Banaras

I decided to dine at Park Plaza. The event was day long and I had reached hotel at 7 Am and was waiting for my family to join in the evening. We decided to check Geoffrey’s and then moved to their restaurant Varandah for dinner.

As I shared, Executive Chef  Sudhanshu Chaturvedi had worked in Benaras. The curry dishes on the buffet has his Midas touch. Food at Varandah is good and for Sunday brunch, the restaurant was almost full.

I was discussing with chef to host a Banaras food festival so that people in Faridabad can also taste the divinity of the holy city. One of the best thing I experienced here, was service at the restaurants. While the restaurant was packed at the time of breakfast, yet every table was being attended promptly and the turnaround time was super quick.maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in,

A quick break from the city and chilling in the hotel over the weekend, without driving too far, Park Plaza Faridabad definitely was a good weekend break.
