If you know me well, you will understand that I am not quite interested now on the navratra special thalis. One of the best navratra special series that I will always remember was at Taj Palace where the chef picked up prashad from different parts of India and created thali out of it. After that, none these navratra special menu has ever impressed me. And also I am not a big fan of kuttu ka atta, sabudana dishes and other things that come in thalis.
This is one the reasons, for not focussing on special thali stories. I saw a picture of olive’s new vegetarian menu, that prompted me to do a short and selective pick for this navratra: While, with all your devotions for the nine days of navratri and celebrating the 9 incarnation of Durga – Shailputri; (Brahmacharin; Chandraghanta’ Kushmanda ; Skandmata ; Katyayini ; Kalratri ; Mahagauri and Siddhidatri; your senses should also relish the ultimate food during this season:
- Olive – How about some fresh figs, burrata and truffle?. Try something different this time. Trust me you will love it. This is the finest European restaurant in city and Chef Sujan is the best chef in country.
Buckwheat, Heirloom Tomatoes & Ricotta Pizza (Custom) Cauliflower, Grains & Greens (Custom) - Guppy – Trying out Japanese too will be different and interesting. Under the umbrella of Chef Vikram, you will get the best Japanese in town. Try Braised Shitake Uramaki, Okonomiyaki and agedashi tofu.
Guppy – Cured Tomato And Konyaku Salad Guppy – Braised Shitake Uramaki - Sodabottle – This navrarta special menu will take you to Mumbai. Not so regular menu, I am sure you are gonna love it. My recommendations – Kera na Cutlets, Gwarfali, Khattu Meethu Kaddu.
Navratra Special Bawa goes Green at SodaBottleOpenerWala from 28th March to 5th April - Chor Bizzare – This has always been my personal favourite. I love chor bizzare and when they came up with their navratra special thali – the essence of the food offered divine pleasure!
