I have been to Sanadige couple of times in last one year. They will turn 1, on 20th of March. This place is heaven for sea food lovers. Last week, we were invited to try some of their new dishes which they will incorporate in their menu. You should visit this place not only for their payesam but also for their crab masala fry and steamed king fish. Here are some of the reason that will prompt you to plan your meal at Sandige soon:
Point 1: Chef is from Mangalore region and has been part of sanadige since their launch in Bangalore. He moved to Delhi a year back. His fantastic touch of Mangalore gets you authentic and homely food.
Point 2: Fresh catch – they get their crab and other seafoods from different parst of the country. Crab comes from Srilanka and no other place in Delhi can match their crab dish. It is absolutely mind blowing.
Point 3: It is a paradise for non-vegetarian – right from sukha mutton to steamed king fish to spicy chicken roast and the delicious crab soup.
Point 4: Coconut payesam is absolutely divine. Made from coconut milk , tender coconut and condensed milk – the concoction makes it the most delicious payesam you would have ever tasted in Delhi.
Point 5: Malabari parotta, appam ,kori, estew – each dish reminds you of Mangalore and takes you to the richness of western Ghats of India. If you don’t want to stuff yourself with the irresistible varieties, you should simply opt for coconut stew with appam!
In my opinion this place is not for vegetarians, however you can opt for their paneer sukha and paneer Uruval. The only thing which didn’t work for me was their palate cleanse – High content of squeezed lemon that made it bitter.
