Twist is a place that you should visit, not only for food but also for their excellent wine program.
Look and Feel
It’s classy, modern and yet very traditional. The two PDRs gives you royal classy feel and the huge mirror and chandelier makes the place more elegant and sophisticated. Al-Fresco is perfect in a weather like this.
Their wine program caught my attention and I was impressed. They mostly have wines from Italy and interestingly these wines are not available anywhere in India. Most of the wine that I tasted that day were from Italy and were excellent. Saten, a sparkling wine is from the province of Brescia, De Vite 2015 ( the blend of Pinot Blanc, Müller Thurgau, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling). It was fresh and crisp with a nice aroma of apple, Cereseteto 2015 Sauvignon, le bruniche 2014 chardonnay and Barbaresco 2011 Nebbiolo.
Twist as the name suggests serve Chinese cuisine with a twist. Some interesting dips, small portions that make you try more variety and it isn’t heavy in the pocket. This place also offers quick lunch for office goers. Shrimp served with spicy mayo had the perfect crunch and shrimp cooked to perfection.
Asian chicken satay served with peanut sauce had the flavor of coriander and tasted excellent. The chicken was moist and soft and had balanced flavor. Crispy calamari went with its name of being crisp and loaded with dry red chili that gave it a spicy flavor – A perfect snack! Pork ribs were marinated with gochujang bbq sauce ( a Korean bbq sauce ) that was spicy and pungent and tasted excellent! Tender buff with bell pepper and bean sauce was served with rice – sautéed beans and salad – perfect main course.
Twist is a welcome change in cyberhub that serves small portions, simple no fuss and no molecular and yet tastes excellent. It’s an ideal place not only for a quick lunch but also for a great family time, where you enjoy trying out various dishes without burning a hole in your pocket!
