Do you remember your favourite lunch at your school canteen? I am pretty sure that after reading this question, you will have twinkle in your eyes and a big smile. You are sure to get nostalgic as you cross down your memory lane. Why not relive those school life memories by reminiscing about lunch time that you had in your school years? I am sure you would rush to call your school friends and revive those days
More than our own lunch boxes, we were always interested in our friend’s tiffin. And more than that, spending pocket money to buy from school canteen and share together! When you look back fondly, you wish that you could have those lunch with your school mates again! To relive this, The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel Delhi is hosting an interesting back to school food promotion at their all day dining restaurant café Knosh which will be on till 21st of august.
The servers are dressed in school uniform. They have also got benches, similar to what we had in schools. The entire restaurant too has been decorated with school stuff. You will find pencil, chelpark ink, eraser and even the paper planes that we used to make.
Food comprises of bread pakora, samosa with peas filling, keema pao, pao bhaji and then the delicious nimbu pani in school bottle. The nimbu pani in school canteen would quench all our thirst and we could finish couple of glasses.
I have always wondered on the reason of focussing more on number of dishes rather than focussing on theme lunches/brunches. Theme brunches or lunches showcases more creativity and is more engaging as well as adds lot of freshness and variation to the regular menu. Well, I believe, the change is happening slowly.
Last month, I had also been to Eros Nehru Place to enjoy their monsoon brunch.
The back to school theme at Café Knosh is on till 21st of Aug and is part of their regular buffet and Sunday brunches.
