WokTok, The Grand New Delhi – Pan Asian Cuisine has New Address

Did I say that I found a new place that serves the best dimsums in town? Yes. You heard me right. If you are big fan of – absolutely delicious, fresh dimsums, stop pondering and head to WokTok, the pan Asian restaurant of Hotel The Grand, New Delhi.

Nilesh Dey, The Executive Chef of The Grand , whom I have known from Taj Days, has recently joined The Grand. He is now passionately and steadily revamping the entire F&B of the hotel.

I went to meet Nilesh at the WokTok, their Pan Asian restaurant. He was working towards launch of a new menu. Our lunch lasted for 3 hours and was filled with engaging and interesting discussion, starting from khad meat to pan Asian cuisine. We also had the privilege to enjoy dishes from his new menu that would go live at WokTok soon.

WokTok will soon, be the talk of the town, for serving one of the finest Pan Asian cuisine in the city. With our wonderful host Deeksha Mishra who heads the PR and Marketing, we enjoyed and gorged on the food. I am big fan of dimsums and have come across very few places that serve good dimsums. The stuffing, the thin outer layer, the flavour and the right cooking which not only keeps the moisture intact, but also doesn’t make the outer layer very dry – That’s the perfect dimsum!  Dimsum is an elegant dish and Chef Nilesh and his team do it with complete perfection that would make anyone keep wanting for more! Prawn Hargow, chicken and shrimp sui mai, mini steamed duck bao were my favourites amongst the dimsums.

I skipped the soup as I wanted to try some more dishes. The stir fry section shouldn’t be missed or skipped.  I tried some starters too – stir fry prawns with sriracha sauce had the right amount of chillies that gave it the perfect hotness. Water chestnut with garlic and pepper is perfect starter for vegetarians. You also have the option to choose between chicken and pork.

For the mains, on chef recommendation, we tried fish and chicken with our choice of sauce that was a bit spicy as per our liking. Needless to say, the combination of spices and flavours were perfect.

WokTok is certainly going to be the talk of the town for its authentic Pan Asian cuisine. If you love Pan Asian, head to this place to satiate your cravings.
