Treasure of Sea at Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon

I could see seafood everywhere – From Indian section, to pan Asian to western and till the Japanese counter too. Not just this, but the salad section too was full of seafood. I have always been a huge fan of seafood – oysters, mussels, shrimp, crabs, lobster, you name it and I was thrilled to see variety laid out .For me it was a dreamland floating around with everything that I love!  Executive chef Avinash explained the concept and thought process behind the vast spread of seafood. In each section, sea food had been introduced so that people enjoy and develop the taste based on their preference of cuisine. Every cuisine has couple of dishes to offer in their seafood sections. The Indian section too has Prawn biryani, malai chingri and haryali machi.

Crown Plaza Gurgaon is hosting week long seafood food festival at their all day dinning Café G. it’s must for every seafood lover, even if you don’t like seafood.

What should you eat

Café G re-opened last year after the renovation. I have always enjoyed the excellent food that gets served – both in quality, quantity and consistency of service. One of the highlights is the western section. Here, they have dishes from around the world. The seafood festival too had amazing offerings at the western section – Tilapia, salmon and red snapper, perfectly grilled served with some interesting dips. One shouldn’t miss the amazing journey of food trail

Treasure of Sea at Crowne Plaza Today GurgaonFish cooked with pineapple and orange in their pan Asian section was something you shouldn’t miss. Seafood cooked with basil was another extremely well made dish.

Mussels, squid and prawns Jambalya was the dish of the day that I thoroughly enjoyed. Inspired from French and Spanish cuisine, Jambalaya uses different combination of seafood and vegetables, along with rice. This is different from paella as Jambalaya uses less rice and has gravy.

This festival is for all seafood lovers and also for those who would want to explore their taste buds around delicacies. Not only are jumbo size lobsters an attraction, baby octopus too steal the show!  Don’t miss this seafood experience!
