Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper!” A very famous old adage, that I truly believe in and also researches have proved its health benefits too! What is your belief?
In such a fast moving lifestyle and maddening morning rush to reach office, stress of coming across traffic jam; we tend not only avoid our breakfast but sometime only have a glass of juice or a cup of coffee and eat nothing at all. Well, this may be your story too! In that case, you should take time out for a hearty breakfast as eating a substantial meal within the first few hours of waking up is much healthier as it is a great way to give the body the refueling it needs. Skipping breakfast will make you feel tired, restless, or irritable, as in in the morning, bodies need to refuel for the day ahead after going without food for 8 hours during sleep. The mood and energy can drop by mid morning if you don’t eat at least a small morning meal.
Well, it isn’t that I would always have a heavy breakfast. Naina (my wife) would always insist in having an ideal breakfast. And I realized gradually that it not only helped control cravings throughout the day and reduced snacking in between meals but also gave me the essential energy to stay active all day.
Last week, me, Anjori (Director PR) and Jiggi (Manager PR) decided to meet for breakfast at Shangri-La. I love food at Tamra and truly appreciate the huge and fabulous spread that they offer. It was on a on a weekday morning and the restaurant was full house. We had to settle ourselves on a high table seating.
Coming back onto the spread, it is a humungous task to decide what to choose. Let me share how I start –
Take a walk before you start your meal. Here at Tamra, you can have fresh fruit juices, fresh cut fruits and Yakult too! Move forward and choose from fresh bakery counter. Enjoy waffles and then cold cuts along with variety of cheese to choose from. Next is the live station where you can have your choice of eggs with bacons.
Any breakfast buffet is incomplete without Indian offering. Tamra scores in a big way as compared to other places as they not only have huge Indian spread, but they also have live stations of puri, chilla or dosa along with other Indian dishes.
Having a Nihari for mornings is truly delightful and I was thrilled to find Nihari being served here. I haven’t seen Nihari being served for breakfast usually. It clearly reminded me of thee morning namaaz at Jama Masjid, post which the aroma of Nihari floods the air and breakfast is incomplete without Nihari! It is a rich, spicy broth of slow cooked meat (lamb or beef) that is served alongside piping khameeri rotis.
I had great time, enjoying scrumptious food in the company of one of the most professional PR team. I would definitely rate Tamra as a place that offers amazing breakfast buffet. I will be visiting soon to try their Asian section at Tamra, which is also part of their breakfast section. If you just as enthusiastic about enjoying a delicious and healthy breakfast your options at Tamra are unlimited. Here you will find assortment of cuisines. You will love this place for the simple fact that we rarely get to sit and enjoy breakfast, even though we know the benefits of this first meal of the day and love the delicacies. All you need is a resolution to make it a habit and then an addiction to have a healthy breakfast!
