Imperfecto, 1A/1, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi

Located at 3rd Floor in hauz Khas Village, Imperfecto has a very earthly ambience with wooden tables and Chairs, Pillars covered with pages of books, Musical instruments hanging on the wall giving a different décor which is amazing and has an offbeat sense of character and perfect style.  The restaurant has 2 floors and an upstairs balcony   overlooking lush greens of hauz Khas Village providing a serene and relaxed set up and the mini water flow on the edge of the indoor restaurant and balcony floor gives an aesthetical look  . The place will be a perfect for dining out at night, right under the sky watching the stars.

penne with mushroom

I visited Imperfecto to get a quick overview of the place, after reading the press release that stated – “Spanish Master Chef Nuria Rodriguez recently opened the doors of her magnificent Mediterranean Restaurant IMPERFECTO at HAUZ KHAS VILLAGE. Chef NURIA RODRIGUEZ is well known to be a trendsetter, when it comes to Spanish & Mediterranean Cuisine. Celebrating the beauty of imperfection, IMPERFECTO does the right job of glorifying the Mediterranean culture and living life to the fullest”.

Escalapes Provencal

My son prefers penne with mushroom in pesto or white sauce and while scanning through the menu, I could find ravioli and risotto. I was wondering if my wife would ask me to move out of the restaurant as my son’s preference is always about pasta, noodles, French fries and dosa. I think my wife read my confused look and politely checked incase they could serve penne with mushroom and to my surprise with a very pleasing smile, they took our order. Now it was my turn  and I ordered Escalapes Provencal – boneless lamb prepared in traditional herbs served with cherry tomatoes and potatoes. The lamb was soft, chewy and well cooked.

I would love to visit the place again as it offers variety of different Italian, French – Mediterranean cuisine to be precise and plenty of alcoholic drinks to choose from. The menu isn’t huge, however it seemed to be handpicked and a delightful choice with portions of satisfaction one would get after visiting the place.
